First Day of School

The girls had so much fun on the first day of school.  We actually had two first day of schools.  On September 4th Alicia and Tabatha started school at Endeavour Intemediate.  Tabatha is now a fifth grader in Mrs. Storholt’s class, and Alicia is a second grader with Ms. Haines.  Tabatha had Ms. Haines in second grade, so Alicia knew what an awesome lady she is, and was looking forward to being in her class.  Tabatha knew Mrs. Storholt as well, so it was an easy transition back.  Plus, they loved dressing up and posing for the first day pictures.

Then the second round of pictures were on September 7th.  That is the first day of Olivia going to Kindergarten.  We had met her teacher Mrs. Thomas at orientation so she was ready to go and be a big girl just like her sisters.

I can hardly believe she is in Kindergarten already.

I was hoping to get a shot of them coming off the bus together, but just missed it.  So here is Ken, coming home with the girls after their first full day together. 

We had an eventful summer, but it will be nice to get back into the school routine.

Pinterest fun–New Apron

 

I love the Pinterest website, almost a bit too much.  I get great ideas for things I might someday do, instead of actually doing them.  So I decided to actually make something I had pinned.  This is Alicia showing off her brand new apron, and her best friend got a matching one as well.  She helped pick out the BFF aprons, and I am so glad to finally have made something off my dream list of crafts, sewing projects, and recipes.

Another Fun Denver Park Day

I am glad Olivia isn’t old enough to drive, she isn’t ready yet!

For our last day in Denver we went to one last park before heading out.  We enjoyed taking the kids to the park every day, and my daughters would play with their cousins everyday if we could.  We will miss all the cousins, the great hospitality, and the chance to see family we don’t see enough.  I publically thank you for having us, we will need to visit again soon.

In the afternoon Christina took just me and my girls to a spray park. The weather had cooled down a bit so the girls were a shivering a little, but that didn’t stop them from jumping in.

Denver Trip

 

Coming to Denver only 3 days after our Hawaii trip was a bit ambitious for our family, but I am so glad we did.  It was just us girls, and with my mom and Christina’s girls, it was truly a girls retreat. 

We walked Audra home from Kindergarten.  Here is our whole group of  girls together.

I think Tabatha and Camille have a special bond, during our stay they spent a lot of time together. 

Last Good-bye

 

Now that our girls are a bit older, they look forward to the travelling almost as much as the destination.  Part of it is that they love flying, which is not something they felt even a few years ago.  They love to help with the luggage, they love to pack, and in this picture they were excited because we were about to do some last minute souvenir shopping.

Here are the last pictures at the airport with the new souvenirs.  We had a great vacation.

Movie under the stars

 

For our last night in Hawaii, we decided to go to a Resort sponsored Movie Night under the stars.  Back home, it would be cold enough to need blankets or sleeping bags, but here, we could just lie on towels and enjoy the warm air.

Here is the large screen. We watched the movie Happy Feet 2, which as parents we didn’t love, but the girls couldn’t stop talking about it.  I think watching it outside gave it magical qualities, and the music kept them bouncy and happy.  What a great way to end our week in Paradise.

I am going to miss the beautiful sunsets.
