We had a very packed day. After a birthday party with 12 of her cousins and friends, she then had a piano recital.
Appropriately, she played three pieces about birthdays. If you need an accompianist for the birthday song, she is your girl. She is becoming quite the little pianist, and smiled and enjoyed every minute of her time on the stage.
But in the end, the best part of this day is Tabatha being baptised. In our church we are baptised when we turn 8 and are deemed accountable. For the last few weeks we have talked to Tabatha about covenants, about the responsibility of taking the name of Christ, and of the sacrament. We weren't sure she was understanding. But then, during the talk on the Holy Ghost, her teacher Sister Hauswirth asked Tabatha how we feel the Holy Ghost. Tabatha said that in her book at home, she knows the Holy Ghost can comfort us like a friend, even when we are alone. She was listening the whole time, and I could feel the spirit in that room telling me what a wonderful soul she is. I wish everyone could have been there, and am so grateful for all who came and participated. Tabatha, we love you. Congratulations on you baptism and confirmation.
Congratulations to Tabatha!
