Every Fourth of July is a chance to remember our independence, our freedom, and our heritage. This year our kids for the first time really seemed to get that Independence Day was the celebration of when the Colonies declared freedom from the control of the British Empire.
Yet when push comes to shove, it is the sparklers and fireworks that they wanted to celebrate. I will let the pictures do the talking as five families (2 sets of grandparents, Matt & Ilea, Scott & Melissa, and Ken & I) celebrate with our children this special day.
